Children’s Formation
Elementary Formation Classes: Join us on Sunday mornings at 9:00am in the Library to learn about the Gospel! A different theme or area of study is covered for several weeks at at time. Elementary Formation meets weekly when Adult Formation is in session. We look forward to seeing you there!
Children’s Chapel: Classes meet Sundays during the 10:00 service. Rooted in the Montessori-inspired Godly Play style of storytelling, Children’s Chapel gives children an immersive and interactive way of learning the great story of God. Activity bags are provided on Sundays when there is no Children’s Chapel.
We offer three Children’s Chapel classes with different age delineations. The younger Godly Play classroom is open to 3.5 year-olds, who are fully potty trained, through Kindergarten. The older Godly Play class includes1st through 3rd grade students. There is a third class for 4th and 5th graders, combining components of Godly Play with other curriculum including Discipleship.
Nursery: Children ages birth to 4 years-old gather in our newly renovated, Montessori inspired Nursery during the10:00 service. St. Margarets engages our little ones to grow in Christ through a multitude of art, science, and sensory work, which illustrate the Biblical lesson being taught. We sing songs, pray, learn a Bible story, and have a related object lesson or work on an art or nature project. We will often work outside when weather permits. Snacks are provided. Children will come out to join their families for Communion and are welcome to stay in the service, as well.
Matthew 19:14 says, “Let the little children come to me.” We look forward to welcoming your little ones every Sunday. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact Taryn Haley, Coordinator of Children’s Formation, or simply stop by the Nursery. You are always welcome!
Please let us know about any allergies or accommodations your child may need while participating in our ministries!
